1. Do I need to know how to braid before enrolling?

No! Our certification course is beginner-friendly and designed to meet you where you are. Whether you're brand new or already know some basics, we’ll guide you step by step.

2. What’s the age requirement?

Students must be at least 16 years old to receive certification in Tennessee. However, we also welcome students as young as 8 years old for skill-building courses (non-certification).

3. Will I be certified to braid professionally after this course?

Yes — if you complete the full course and meet the requirements, you will receive a state-recognized Braiding Certificate that allows you to legally braid hair in Tennessee.

4. Is the course available online?

Yes! We offer both in-person and virtual options so you can learn from wherever you are. Virtual students must complete hands-on assignments and participate in scheduled classes.

5. How long is the course?

Course length may vary, but most of our programs are designed to be completed in a few weeks, depending on your pace and schedule. You’ll get a full course calendar upon enrollment.

6. What if I miss a class?

We understand life happens. We offer make-up options and recordings (for virtual classes) to ensure you don’t fall behind. Just communicate with your instructor as soon as possible.

7. Can I use my certificate in other states?

Every state has different regulations. While your certificate is valid in Tennessee, you may need to check with your state’s cosmetology board to see if it meets their requirements.

8. Do you offer payment plans or scholarships?
